JAZZ BAND CHICAGO INFORMATION!

Jazz Band Chicago Information:

This information is also listed on the Hanna band web site under the message board: www.hannabands.org

Flight and Baggage Information:

Students are requested to bring all suitcases and instrument cases to the band room at the beginning of school on Thursday, Feb. 4th. Students will be supplied with name tags to mark all cases. All Cases will be checked by chaperones and directors.

Students are recommended to pack “carry on” bags as the airline currently charges a fee Each Way for checked luggage.

We will be dismissing the students after 2nd Period/1st Block on Thursday, Feb.4th.

We will leave Hanna by District V bus to Charlotte Airport (Douglas International) at 10:00 AM

US Air #928 departs Charlotte at 2:27 on Thursday, Feb. 4th, and arrives at 3:29 (Central Time) in Chicago O’Hare . (There is a one hour time difference)

US Air #927 departs Chicago at 4:14 on Sunday, Feb. 7th, and arrives at 7:04 in Charlotte.

We will return to Anderson by District V Bus at approximately 9:30 PM.

We are still working with the airlines on baggage costs.
Currently US Air Charges$15.00 for one checked suitcase.
The Booster club will cover the cost of checking all instruments.

 Student MUST HAVE a PICTURE ID for Airline Tickets etc.

 We will use the current medical form on file. Please notify us of any changes that should be made to this form. Medications must be checked with the chaperones, however students are allowed to keep them individually.

 All Instruments will be checked at the airport

 Dress will be Black and White for all Day Saturday

 Everyone will need a warm overcoat.

(Hats, gloves and scarves are highly recommended)

Friday:Homecoming and Senior Night!

· October 5th will be the last Monday Rehearsal


Jazz Band Reading Rehearsals will start on October 26th


Senior Band Students and their Parents will be recognized during Halftime of the Hanna/Hillcrest Game on October 2nd.

The Students will also be recognized during the pep rally on Friday.

Parents will be given complementary tickets for this game.

The Band will perform their show after the Game

Saturday: Contest #2

Pendleton Contest Saturday, October 3rd

Call Time will be 11:30 AM (note change)

This is a prelims and finals contest.

Our First performance will be at 4:45

The Final performance will be set according to the prelims placement

Spaghetti Supper

October 16th from 5:00 to 7:15

Drive-Thru or Dine In

This is the Friday of the Greenwood Game


Tickets for the supper are $6.00
